Micro-Current FACIAL $90
Micro-Current FACIAL - $49 - 30 minutes of Oxygen - Perfect for Maintenance
Let's face it, our faces take a beating. Gravity, pollution, exposure to too much sun, and aging all combine to cause wrinkling, dulling and sagging of the skin. On top of this, our facial muscles also begin to lose their firmness. Add stress to this mix, hormones and poor diet, and our faces can really look tired, wrinkled and less radiant.
What is a "Microcurrent Facial?"
We use the Neurotris Micro-current system to address the signs of aging and produce remarkable results! Unlike any other microcurrent machine on the market, Neurotris has achieved a breakthrough in their patent pending InSight WaveForm™ technology. This advanced equipment uses ultra high definition signals to improve and return a youthful appearance. The experience is wonderfully relaxing and euphoric, causes no pain, swelling or downtime, and noticeable results begin immediately!
Microcurrent is a completely painless and non-invasive treatment that is an alternative to surgery and injections. It is commonly referred to as the “lunch time lift” or “non-surgical face lift” because of its ease to incorporate into daily life. Microcurrent is simply a low level of electricity comparable to the body's own natural electrical currents, triggering chemical reactions at a cellular level to enhance the production of natural collagen and elastin, to provide circulatory benefits and assist in product penetration. The result is immediate firming, smoothing, and re-hydration of the skin while greatly reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Microcurrent is also referred to as a facial sculpting treatment. It can lift, sculpt and tighten any part of your face or body. It can even lighten acne scaring or calm rosacea. This is a procedure that has NO DOWNTIME and results are immediate. Microcurrent facials are painless and so relaxing that most clients often fall asleep during the treatment.
How does it work?
First it is best to understand what causes our facial skin to wrinkle and sag. As we age, our muscles become accustomed to certain expressions and tend to "stick" in these positions. A great example of this is the furrow between the eyebrows that many people get. At the same time, other muscles in our face are hardly ever used, and they begin to atrophy, which leads to sagging. An example of this can often be seen around our jaw lines, chins and necks where we tend to develop sagging or loss of definition as we get older. As we age, skin cells become less active, which leads to a breakdown of collagen and elastin. By the age of 45, the upper cheek muscles may elongate by as much as half an inch, dragging the skin over the cheeks downward to form plump little pouches at the corners of the mouth. The muscles under the chin become loose and the jaw line loses its firm contour.
During the microcurrent facial probes are used to physically move the muscle into the desired position to perform what is known as muscle re-education – the process of lengthening or shortening muscles. Although microcurrent is electricity, this level of electrical current is far too low to cause the muscles to “twitch” or move involuntary. Too much energy can have a detrimental effect on the skin. It leads to a decrease in muscle tonicity and cellular activity. The patented technology used is called microcurrent Suzuki sequencing. It controls the depth, purpose and effect that the electric current will have on the tissue being treated. The human body and all of its functions, are completely frequency specific. Just as we have an individualized DNA code and finger print, we also have a one of a kind electrical code that is unique to each of us.
Having muscle re-education movements performed in a series re-trains the muscles to maintain this new contour. Microcurrent treatment allows the muscles the necessary energy to keep their tension in this new contour.

No other non-invasive esthetic service can come close to these proven results! This is why Microcurrent treatments are one of the fastest growing services in the esthetic anti-aging industry today.
Microcurrent has been proven to…
• 500% increase in cellular energy (ATP) to muscle cells leading to increased muscular tone
• 12% increase in 20 days in natural collagen production to increase hydration and fullness
• 48% increase in 20 days in natural elastin production
• 39% increase in 20 days in blood circulation
Microcurrent and Bell's Palsy
Microcurrent was first developed as a medical treatment to treat Bell's Palsy. The currents were designed to re-educate the muscles of the face, stimulating them to return to a normal position. Bells Palsy is facial paralysis, usually affecting one side of the face only. The cause is unknown, but inflammation of one of the facial nerves results in muscle paralysis to one side of the face. As the facial muscles atrophy (sag) microcurrent is used to rehabilitate the muscles. The muscles are lifted and toned and the face looks closer to its former self again.

Throughout the ages, people have experimented with treatments intended to enhance or change their appearance and slow down the aging process. From the early Egyptian's use of kohl and mineral pigments to tightly drawn corsets of the Victorian era, woman have endured much in the name of youth and beauty. In modern world, we are fortunate to be able to turn to technology for our fountain of youth, and one of the most important innovations to have sprung from this well of technological advances is the use of microcurrent.
